International Committee for Palestinian Human
Rights (ICPHR)
As follow-up of the international experts'
conferences on The Legal Aspects of the Palestine and Jerusalem Problem
(1980) and on Israel as Occupying Power (1984), the International
Committee for Palestinian Human Rights was established by the I.P.O. in 1988.
During the first Intifadah, the Committee sent two delegations of inquiry
to the occupied Palestinian territories. The delegations' findings were
published by the I.P.O. and circulated by the United Nations Committee for
the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People among UN
member states.
