I.P.O.
publications on democracy in the international context
|
|
Since the colloquium organized in New York on the occasion of the
40th anniversary of the United Nations, the International Progress
Organization has continuously dealt with the basic questions of the
democratization in international relations. In research meetings and
roundtable discussions the problem of the applicability of democratic
principles in the realm of international law was analyzed. The
redefinition of democracy in comparison to oligarchic systems of
decision-making has been one of the basic concerns of
the
research efforts of the I.P.O. Some of the publications resulting from these
debates are presented here. |
